Winter collection

Today’s post features photos from 3 or 4 different shoots of mine. These are photos I just didn’t get around to posting or they were just a single photo. It also features a lot of poetry and quotes!
So enjoy! Hopefully no more winter posts till next season! Hopefully.

Solitary. Lonely. Frozen. Abandoned.
The old tire swing is left from a begone time. A time when 4 young children would run up to it, climbing by it, swinging on it. They would laugh and play imaginary games. Now no one plays on it. It is old and run down. Snow covers it and only the memory of summers long past remain. Only a memory.

The Road goes ever on and on

Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow, if I can,

Pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way,

Where many paths and errands meet.

Spring. The Forsythia waits and calls. Patient and expectant. It will come.
A playful pup is a joy to the soul.

Winter cannot dampen the spirits of these moss. They stretch and reach to the sun, dreaming and wishing never giving up and…living.
Beware. For tonight the wild things are about. They prowl and devour all by the light of  a pale half moon. Gather your wood by the light of the sun, lock your doors, snuggle up tight. tight, keep the flame burning. But do not go outside tonight!!! For death waits, hungry and menacing, if you but open the door.

    The photos are of course beautiful (as always), but the accompanying poetry is something I’ll never be able to beat!

  4. Really love all of these. It’s been a long winter, but there is definitely natural beauty in all seasons! AND, these photos will be nice to look back on five months
    when we are in the middle of the hot summer!
